Erdem and H&M
This H&M association is due to “the timing felt right for a collaboration with a British designer, well known for his romantic and feminine style, following the immediacy and impact of Kenzo.” said Ann-Sophie Johansson who is the creative advisor of H&M on an interview on Cosmopolitan.
Kate Bosworth (L) wears a long floral dress with eye catching patterns. Kirsten Dunst (C) wears a silk suit in khaki green and blue floral patterns; and, Kate Mara (R) wears a knee-length dress complimented with a printed floral pattern plus stand-up collar and bib front with pin-tucks and covered buttons.
Who is Erdem?
Canada born and London based fashion designer Erdem is well known for his fabulous fabrics, floral patterns, vibrant prints and detailed craftsmanship; and this signature was the reason H&M chose him.
Rashida Jones (L) wears a fitted, ankle-length, sequined, V-neck dress and a short-sleeved top with a printed floral pattern jersey. Selma Blair (R) wears a knee-length lace dress.
Clientele Of This Fashion Designer
He is also a favourite designer of celebrities such as Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Emma Watson, Emma Stone, Alexa Chung, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman, Meghan Markle, and Gwyneth Paltrow who have been spotted wearing some of his designs.
Zendaya wears blue tone knit sweater with 3/4-length sleeves and a calf-length skirt with a colourful floral pattern.
The Canadian- Turkish designer expects customers “…will feel the quality and the beauty of the garments… feel pleasure, and that the pieces will become part of their wardrobes for years to come.” on the new Erdem X H&M line.

It is very exiting that famous fashion designers collaborate with H&M. For example, in 2004 Karl Legerfeld was the first designer who created a clothing line for the Swedish store and, like him, others did the same such as Kenso and Balmain in 2015.

If you were one of the lucky ones to acquire items for this recent collection, you are so fortunate because most of the clothes sold out at stores and also had an overwhelming audience for online sales on day one of the launch.
