She remembered the constant parties her family would have in their home, usually on Sunday nights. In her Architectural Digest interviews (AD) she described this as something that is normal in the South, and something that she grew to love. A part of what makes these parties so successful is the home decor that the hostess can proudly display. When asked about her personal philosophy when it comes to interior design, Reese stated that she firmly believes that there should be something old and something new. "I think it's really great to have your beautiful, classic china that came from your grandmother – that's what mine is – but mixing it with modern glassware, or infusing it with new things. It just turns everything around. It makes it a little more contemporary.” (AD) This aesthetics of hers is reflected in her home decor collection.

Home Again and Pottery Barn

The Home Again movie is her most recent film and the character portrayed by Reese is a forty-year-old interior stylist that recently separated from her husband, and this character certainly shows a real life phase of Reese.
