Who doesn’t like sales on your favorites designer beauty and fashion brands? Every year we are excited and looking forward to shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s an awesome opportunity to have designer brands that you’ve had your eyes on for quite some time. Furthermore, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great ways to complete your holiday shopping. But, what about the challenges of shopping on these days? Follow these six shopping tips for the best possible experience this coming Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

1. Create a Shopping Budget

Saving money is the goal of shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. There are many deals out there that will tempt you, but if you’re spending more than you can afford it’s not truly a deal. Set a budget for how much you are willing to spend during the sales. If you don’t have a maximum spending limit in mind, you could end up spending to the point where you find yourself with bad debt. Setting a budget is easy if you already know what it is that you want to buy. That’s why it’s important to know what you’re looking for.

2. Fashion and Beauty List

The best way to make sure you get the most out of Black Friday and Cyber Monday is by creating a list of everything you want to buy. Whether you’re looking for clothing deals, beauty deals, or hom e decor deals, you should write it down. This will help you to determine which stores to target and what you should focus your research on. Making a list doesn’t mean you’re limiting what items you can buy, it just helps you know which shops and brands you should focus on.

3. Shopping Research in Advance

Once you know more or less how much you’re willing to spend and what you want to buy, you can start researching. A quick online search will show which stores and brands are having sales on the items that you’re interested in. Most fashion and beauty brands will participate in Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Makeup and beauty lovers should see what brands like MAC and Crabtree & Evelyn will have on offer, while women who love designer clothing and accesories can find deals with brands like Michael Kors and Coach, among many others. While researching, make sure to pay attention to the sales dates. Although the majority of fashion and beauty products will have big sales on both days, some might only participate in one of these events. It’s important to know which brand and store will have sales on Black Friday and which will have sales on Cyber Monday.

4. Bookmark Favorite Brands

Black Friday was different before online shopping became main stream. Shoppers’ only option was to stand in queues and spend hours in stores. Online shopping has changed all of this. You can get the same great deals without having to leave the comfort of your home at all. While most brands will save their biggest online sales promotions for Cyber Monday, there are many that offer the same Black Friday deals online as they do in the physical store. That’s why it’s important to bookmark the online shopping pages of all the brands you’re interested in. Check your bookmarks first thing Friday morning to get the best deals.

5. Black Friday: Be There in Time

If you do decide to go to the stores for your shopping, it’s imperative to arrive on time – or even well beforehand. Since the prices are so low and the demand is high, you can expect stiff competition when it comes to getting your hands on marked down items. Since you’ve already researched which stores are offering deals, you won’t be wasting any time wandering around malls, looking for something that interests you. Arrive as early as you can. Visit the shops in order of which items you want the most. If you know that one store has your favorite Dolce & Gabbana perfume marked down by 80%, make a point of buying that item before you go to the stores that offer less discounts. Try to get the best bang for your buck and don’t get caught up in the shopping frenzy like many others do. Remember that the items you miss out on during Black Friday aren’t lost to you forever. You might be able to still get them when Cyber Monday rolls around.

6. Cyber Monday: Add Online Items to Wish List in Advance

While you might face the possibility of someone trying to take something from your cart during Black Friday, most of the time you’re in physical possession of items in your cart – this is not always the case with Cyber Monday!

Cyber Monday comes with its own unique shopping challenges. The items you add to your online shopping cart are not completely in your possession until the sales process is complete. If you take too long to check out online, the website may inform you that the items you’ve placed in your cart are not available or you will need to redo the process from the beginning in hopes that your items are still available. How do you prevent this from happening? Place items on your wish list before the day of the sale. A week before the sale, go through each website’s products and add those that you’d be interested in to a wish list. This makes it easy to quickly add everything to your cart and pay before the items are sold out; instead of scrolling around the website only to lose out on great deals.

Shop Till Your Heart’s Content

Many first time shoppers during Black Friday and Cyber Monday can be disappointed and frustrated by the challenges of shopping. On the other hand, for those that are prepared ahead of time, a wonderful shopping experience awaits. More, the amazing savings are worth the effort involved; especially when it comes to expensive items like luxury brands. Shop till your heart’s content!
